Back in the modern, fully-equipped facilities of the School, your cooking lesson includes several traditional dishes. Then sit down to a delicious lunch featuring your own creations complemented by additional dishes prepared by the School’s more-experienced staff! Return to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the afternoon and evening at leisure. Meals B,L

Day 3 - Fly to Chiang Mai
Your private car and driver will take you to the airport for your included flight to Chiang Mai. Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly greeted and chauffeured to the Chiang Mai Plaza Hotel where an upgraded deluxe room has been reserved for you. Enjoy the balance of your day at leisure. Meals B

Day 4 - Elephant Safari and Rafting Expedition
For generations, elephants were not just a means of transport through the rugged mountain forests of Thailand; they were actually trained to work in the lumber industry, hauling huge logs along forest trails. When logging was banned in the Kingdom, thousands of elephants were suddenly “unemployed!” Today, many of these giant beasts are now protected in conservation camps.

This morning, you’ll travel with your private car, driver and guide into the mountains outside of Chiang Mai to visit the Dao Elephant Conservation Camp. You’ll see a demonstration of the elephants’ work skills and then climb aboard one of these trained animals for a one-hour elephant trek into the surrounding forest. After lunch back at the camp, you’ll embark on a relaxing bamboo rafting expedition down the clear and tranquil Ping River. Visit an orchid farm and then return to your hotel in Chiang Mai where the balance of your afternoon and evening are free. Meals B,L

Day 5 - From Chiang Mai to Siem Reap, Cambodia
Your private car and driver will take you to the airport for your included flights to Bangkok and then onward into Cambodia. Upon arrival in Siem Reap, you’ll be warmly greeted and chauffeured to the deluxe Victoria Angkor Resort & Spa. Meals B

Day 6 - The glory of Angkor Wat #WHS#
Set out with your personal guide after breakfast to begin your in-depth exploration of the magnificent jungle ruins of Angkor, once the royal seat of the mighty Khmer Empire. This morning you’ll explore imposing Angkor Wat, the largest temple in the world with a volume of stone equaling that of the Cheops Pyramid in Egypt. Inspired by 12th century Hinduism, it took an estimated 30 years to build Angkor Wat, including the intricately carved bas-relief which adorns all four sides of the temple.

In the afternoon, your privately guided touring continues at Ta Prohm. Dedicated in 1186, this vast temple complex has been largely left in its natural state, surrounded by the massive roots and limbs of the encroaching jungle. Then visit Preah Khan, an extensive monastic complex built by King Jayavarman VII. Meals B

Day 7 - Exploring farther afield
Your private car, driver and guide await this morning to take you to Banteay Srei, the Citadel of Women. Built of red sandstone in the 10th century, this enchanting architectural gem shows a strong Indian influence. It is dedicated to the Hindu God, Shiva. In the afternoon, journey to nearby Ton Le Sap Lake for an excursion aboard a comfortable shaded boat. Travel across the tranquil waters to see traditional floating homes and small fish farms. It’s a fascinating and up-close look at a unique way of life here in rural Cambodia. The scenic drive back to your hotel takes you through a lush area of palms and verdant tropical vegetation. Meals B

Day 8 - Back to Bangkok
You’ll be escorted to the airport today for your included flight to Bangkok. Upon arrival, you’ll be met and chauffeured back to the deluxe Pullman Hotel. This evening, your private car and driver await to take you to the banks of the Chao Phraya River, where you’ll step aboard The Manohra, a traditional rice barge which has been handsomely restored to its gleaming teakwood splendor. Enjoy a romantic dinner onboard and the unforgettable spectacle of Bangkok by night. You’ll cruise past the iconic Temple of Dawn, the magnificent Grand Palace, the boathouses of the Royal Barges and numerous other city temples. Meals B,D

Day 9 - Farewell Bangkok
