Day 1 - Welcome to Beijing!

Day 2 - In and around the capital

Day 3 - A thrilling excursion to the Great Wall
Ascend by cable car to explore atop the Great Wall#WHS#. Then walk along the Sacred Way to visit Changling, greatest of the Ming Dynasty Tombs#WHS#. Return to your hotel, driving by the iconice stadiums of the 2008 Summer Olympics. Meals B,L

Day 4 - Fly to Xian, ancient capital of 13 dynasties
Explore by rickshaw through a hutong, an ancient enclave within the bustling city. Meet with a resident family and fly to Xian. Dine on savory dumplings, a specialty of the region and overnight at the 5-star Shangri-La Golden Flower Hotel. Meals B,D

Day 5 - The Terra Cotta Warrior#WHS#
Discover China’s greatest archaeological discovery at the Terra Cotta Warriors Museum and visit the graceful Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Meals B,L

Day 6 - “Above there is Heaven. Below there is Hangzhou.”

Day 7 - On to Wuzhen and the garden city of Suzhou

Day 9 - Out and about in Shanghai
A morning at leisure is a great opportunity to step-out and explore the historic French Concession, close by your hotel. In the afternoon, join city residents on the Shanghai metro and ride with your guide to People’s Square, a popular gathering spot. Sightseeing continues at the renowned Shanghai Museum and along the waterfront Bund into vibrant Pudong. Gather this evening for a farewell dinner of fine regional cuisine. Meals B,D
