Day 1 - Welcome to Beijing
Check in to the city-center Sofitel Wanda where a Luxury Room awaits.

Day 2 - In and around Beijing with your Trip Leader
Start your day with the Sofitel’s Bistro Buffet breakfast, featuring a selection of Asian and Western cuisine. Then set out to explore the Imperial monuments of the capital, including Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City #WHS# and Summer Palace #WHS#. Tonight, enjoy a traditional Peking Duck banquet. Day 3 - Out to the Great Wall
Journey into the mountains for an unforgettable visit to the Great Wall #WHS#. Then stroll along the statue-lined Sacred Way to visit Changling Tomb , the most impressive of the celebrated Ming Tombs #WHS#. Meals B,L

Day 4 - Fly to Xian, ancient capital of thirteen dynasties
Explore by rickshaw through the narrow lanes of a hutong and meet with a family in this traditional neighborhood. Then fly to Xian where you’ll be met and escorted to the new Hilton Hotel, perfectly situated within the ancient walls of the city. Explore the bustling Muslim market with a local shop keeper. He’ll be at your side guiding your discovery as you sample exotic fare from the many vendors. Tonight’s dinner features savory dumplings. Meals B,D

Day 5 - The Terra Cotta Warriors #WHS#
Tour the excavation site of the Terra Cotta Army, China’s greatest archaeological discovery, and visit the ancient walls of the city. Meals B,L

Day 6 - Above there is Heaven. Below there is Hangzhou
Fly to Hangzhou where you’ll be escorted to the luxurious new JW Marriott. Enjoy a pleasant cruise on beautiful West Lake before a guided stroll along historic Hefang Street. Step into a 200-year-old tea house and learn the art and ritual of making tea with a Master. Meals B,L

Day 7 - On to Wuzhen and the Garden City of Suzhou
Visit Wuzhen, a 2,000-year-old town of finely preserved Ming Dynasty homes. Continue on to Suzhou and check in to the first class Jasmine Hotel. Later join your Trip Leader to explore the nearby Night Market, a fascinating look into some of the colorful daily rhythms of life in southern China. Meals B,L

Day 8 - Discover Suzhou
Tour the exquisite Garden of the Master of the Nets #WHS# and see the imposing Panmen Gate. Then with just 6 guests and a guide in each boat, your excursion on the Grand Canal offers a most leisurely and intimate experience. Continue to Shanghai and check in to the Hilton Hotel. Meals B,L

Day 9 - Out and about in Shanghai
