Hong Kong Family Tour

How about a multigenerational tour over the holidays? Wouldn’t it be wonderful for at least 3 generations to bond in Hong Kong for the holidays this year? Hong Kong hangs on the southern edge of China and is one of the most densely packed regions in the world. More than 7 million people cram onto Hong Kong’s 425 square miles. Hong Kong is exotic, yet a manageable multigenerational destination. Nearly everyone speaks English and it features an easy-to-use subway system. Hong Kong offers activities for everyone. Asian hotels are noted for their superior service. At the Kowloon Shangri-La, old world Hong Kong meets the 21st century.  After check in, a pot of steaming hot tea is brought to your room.  Shopping can be outrageously costly, but you can always find the outdoor flea markets open until 11:30pm daily. The Temple Street Night Market opens from 4pm to midnight, with an array of Fortune tellers, jade sellers and hucksters of every ilk.

Hiking on Dragon’s Back Nature Trail is sanctuary after shopping the markets and Hong Kong Park is another respite. You will find birds everywhere at the walk through aviary. Another must-do is cruising Victoria Harbour. From your sampan, you can see the laser light show called the Symphony of Lights.

The longest covered escalator is a one way system divided into 20 sections for getting off and on. From 6am to 10am the escalator takes residents from the hillside Mid Levels neighborhood to the commercial venues below. Then, at 1030am, this free people mover reverses directions. The escalator’s most popular stop is in Hong Kong Island’s SoHO neighborhood, where you’ll find international bars and restaurants.

We offer many escorted and independent tours to Hong Kong , Bangkok and Singapore if you would like to extend your vacation.
